Tempered glass

 Tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air.It results the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and the interior with severe tensile stress.In consequence,the impact applied to the glass will be overcome by the compressional force on the surfaces t assure safety of use.

Feature:

No tong marks on the glass as TG adopts the horizontally tempering process. 5 times harder than ordinary annealed glass. Once breakage occurs,the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments which are relatively harmless to human body. It withstands abrupt change of temperature..For example ,a piece of 5mm tolerate the temperature variations within the range of 200.

Features: 1.Safety:

Tempered glass has strong resistance in pressure, not easy to be broken when gets impact. Even if it is broken after serious attack, tempered glass still keep like little beads and not harm anyone at all. 2.Strength: It  has 3 -5 times higher in Impact resistance than normal float glass.

3.Heat stability: It  has better performance in heat stabilities, it can support high temperature of 220 degrees -250 degrees. However, the normal glass has just 70 degrees -100 degrees...This is the advantage in tempered glass. 4.Large deflection/bending: It  has 3-4 times larger in bending than normal glass. Tempered glass can turns the weight to its centre as soon as facing overload. 5.Application: It is Safety glass, it is widely and popular used for glazed doors & windows, construction curtain walls, lifts, furnitures and stair rails. 6.Category: It  can be clear, tinted, reflective, low-E glass and double glazed or argon filled. 7.Colour: Tempered glass has various colours for options, we have white, grey, green, blue etc. 8.Size/measurements: Maximum: 2440 mm x 6400 mm, Minimum: 200mm x 30 mm.
